What the mobile notary price includes
The price listed for mobile notary appointments is the travel fee. Notarizing your signatures is billed separately, per signature.
The travel fee
The price shown for a mobile notary appointment, $50 to $80, is Marcie's travel fee for coming to your home, office or a local coffee shop. It covers getting to you; it is charged whether you need one signature notarized or several.
The notarization fee
Notarizing each signature is a separate, per-signature fee of $15, set by California law. If you have three documents that each need one signature notarized, that is three signature fees in addition to the travel fee.
An example
A visit with two notarized signatures costs the travel fee plus 2 × $15 for the notarizations. Marcie confirms the total with you before she comes, once she knows how many signatures need to be notarized.
